Indian carmaker Mahindra & Mahidra (M&M) considers setting up an assembling unit in the U.S. for its models produced in India, including the Logan model manufactured in partnership with France’s Renault, autoindia.com reported Monday.

The company plans to assemble models such as Scorpio, Ingenio and Bolero, market sources told autoindia.com.
M&M, which is scouting for partners and land in the world's largest automobile market, is in advanced talks with 3-4 US-based players, the mentioned sources said.
M&M would be the first Indian car company to set up a manufacturing facility of any sort in the US.
