Mihnea Constantinescu, Floated As New Romanian Ambassador To Chisinau

Romanian diplomat Mihnea Constantinescu will be nominated Romanian Ambassador to Moldova, after incumbent ambassador Filip Teodorescu was expelled from the country and declared persona non grata, official sources said Wednesday.

Teodorescu, along Ioan Gaborean, minister councilor of the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau, were declared personae non grata earlier Wednesday, following allegations of Romanian involvement in the violent protests in Moldovan capital Tuesday.

The two diplomats have 24 hours to leave Moldova.

Romania denied the allegations and said it will not respond in kind.
