NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer Arrived In Bucharest

NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer arrived in Romania’s capital city of Bucharest Tuesday to attend the NATO summit on April 2-4.

Scheffer is to go directly to the presidential palace to meet with Romanian president Traian Basescu.

Scheffer will also attend the Transatlantic Forum – Bucharest Conference, taking place on April 1-3.

The NATO official also has a bilateral meeting scheduled with U.S. president George W. Bush, and with Romanian prime minister Calin Tariceanu.
