Parliament Clears Romanian Deputy PM To Take Over Interior Ministry As Well

Romanian deputy prime minister Dan Nica was cleared by Parliament Wednesday 310 to 113 votes to become interior minister as well.

Lawmakers cast 310 votes in favor of Nica becoming interior minister, 113 were against and seven abstained.

"The Parliament approves the Government reshuffle and the appointment of Dan Nica in the positions of deputy prime minister and interior minister," Chamber of Deputies secretary Dumitru Pardau said.
