President’s Daughter Elected Secretary General Of Youth Org Of PDL

The members of the national coordination council of the youth-organization of the Democratic Liberal Party, or PDL, on Sunday elected Elena Basescu, president Basescu’s younger daughter, as the organization’s secretary general.

Elena Basescu was elected as secretary general within the youth organization of the party with 377 votes in favor. Her opponents Bogda Boza and Cosmin Calin Petrut received two votes and four votes respectively.

George Rusescu was elected as deputy secretary general with 380 votes in favor and four votes against. He was the only candidate for the position.
