Romania Registers 4,668 AH1N1 Infections, 18 Deaths

Romania registered 43 new cases of infection with the AH1N1 pandemic flu virus over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 4,668, the Health Ministry said Monday.

No new deaths were registered in the last two days, so the toll stagnated at 18.

Most of the cases registered in the last 24 hours were reported in capital Bucharest (16 cases), and the counties of Calarasi (six), Hunedoara (four), Arges (three), Constanta, Harghita, Mures (two each) and Bihor, Buzau, Cluj, Ialomita, Prahova, Sibiu, Valcea and Ilfov (one each).
