Romania’s Govt Plans To Start Works On Bucharest New Subway Line – Governing Program
Romania’s Government plans to start works on a new mainline of the Bucharest subway to connect the city center to the western Drumul Taberei neighborhood and finish the Ghencea-Eroilor route by 2012, according to the new governing program submitted to Parliament Sunday.

The construction of the Drumul Taberei-University subway line is estimated at about EUR700 million, of which EUR370 million will come from a European Investment Bank (EIB) loan.
The subway line to connect the city center to the western Drumul Taberei neighborhood will be 9.05 kilometers long.
