Romania Subway Co. Metrorex Invests EUR14.3M In Thoroughfare IT, Sound Systems

Romania’s subway company Metrorex Bucharest will invest EUR14.3 million in 2008 in IT and sound systems for its Nicolae Grigorescu 2-Bucharest Beltway thoroughfare to be inaugurated on June 15 next year.

The implementation works will be assigned through public bid and are expected to last six months, Metrorex said in a statement Friday.

The deadline to submit bids is January 24, 2008 and the contract will be assigned to the company that offers the best price/completion time ratio.

The project also includes implementing IT and sound systems on the Industriilor-Bucharest Beltway segment, Metrorex said.
