Boc also said that government experts are also working on a system meant to compensate the debts owed by the state to private companies.
"The government is working to simplify the system of financial statements, and not only those filled in by businesspeople monthly. Currently, there are 24-25 financial statements that must be filled in and this eats up a lot of time, money, energy and renders the economic activity very difficult. The target is to have a sole online financial statement in 2011, just like in Germany," Boc said.
In order to unlock the debts registered by the state and by the companies that work with the state, the government is working on a law "targeting an atypical three-way compensation system - state, company, firm, state, state-owned company, the firm indebted to the state, for the purpose of unlocking, via this system, the financial resources highly necessary for the economic activity," Boc pointed out.
Boc underscored that Romania needs "public and private investments like the air" and thanked disciplined businesspeople who pay their taxes and also make investments."
The premier also highlighted the dire need for a strong business environment meant to ensure a healthy and strong future for the country and a strong economic growth based on efficiency, production, and not consumption and debt.
