Romania Women’s Handball Team Wins European Championship Bronze Medal

The Romanian women's national handball team defeated 16-15 (9-7) Denmark in the third place playoff of the European Championship.

At this year's European Championship Romania won five matches and was defeated three times.

The two teams which qualified for the final, Norway and Sweden, will fight for the gold medal Sunday evening.

Norway, Sweden and Romania qualified for the 2011 World Championship. The winner of the 2010 European Championship will also participate in the 2012 Olympic Games.
