Romanian Anticorruption Dept Detains Corruption-Charged Judge
Romania’s Anticorruption Department has detained a judge of the Dolj County Court on charges of corruption, having received the green light from the High Council of Magistrates, people close to the matter told MEDIAFAX on Thursday.

Anticorruption prosecutors also detained two attorneys, co-defendants in the case.
Sources said the High Council of Magistrates authorized Wednesday night the Anticorruption Department's request to detain and arrest two judges with the Dolj Court, who received EUR40,000 in bribes, of which EUR12,000 was found on their person.
