Romanian Average Net Salary Down 0.1% on Month in May

The gross average salary in May stood at RON3,288, 0.1% lower than in April.

The best paid employees in May were those in the IT&C and related services sector, making a net average of RON5,842 a month, while the lowest paid employees were in the hotel and restaurant business, with an average RON1,376 a month.

Compared with May 2016, the average net wage in Romania grew 14.5% in nominal terms and 13.8% in real terms, the data showed.
