The reactor was brought back online on Sunday, without any incidents, Nuclearelectrica said in a statement.
Cernavoda currently operates two reactors of 700 megawatts power each and covers around 18% of Romania's electricity production.
The government plans to build two additional nuclear reactors with similar capabilities in Cernavoda, but the project was put off after several key investors withdrew from the project.
