Romanian Courts To Reduce Sentence By Third In Exchange For Admission Of Guilt
Defendants who admit their guilt in court and acknowledge the prosecution’s evidence is correct will be subject to a sentence reduced by a third, or have to pay a fine cut by 25%, said Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc.

This provision is included in the bill concerning certain measures to speed up trial resolution, dubbed the justice "small reform" bill and approved Friday by the Government.
Boc said this will free up the courts, while people who admit their guilt will have already taken the first step towards rehabilitation.
