Romanian Ex PM Deplores Political Harassment In Letter To EC Pres

Romanian former prime minister Adrian Nastase sent last week a letter to European Commission president Jose Barroso where he writes he is politically harassed through the National Anticorruption Department.

Nastase mentions, among others, that in the case involving the presidential elections of 2004, chief prosecutor Daniel Morar subpoenaed a total 972 witnesses, adding a comment that the Nurnberg trial only used 270 witnesses.

Nastase went on saying Morar acts at the beckoning of Romanian president Traian Basescu.
