Romanian Football Federation To Donate Romania-Georgia Ticket Sales To Mine Accident Victims

Romania’s football Federation, or FRF, said on its website Tuesday it would donate all the money collected from ticket sales for Wednesday’s Romania - Georgia friendly match to the victims of the blasts that occurred in a mine Saturday.

The Federation initially planned to donate some of the cash to charity, but the management decided to donate all of it to victims of the blasts at the Petrila mine, Hunedoara county, western Romania, which claimed the lives of 12 people and injured another 14.

The Federation put up for sale 10,000 tickets for the match, with prices ranging from 5 lei (EUR1-RON3.7522) to RON15.
