Romanian Govt Approves Welfare Bill, Reducing No Of Beneficiaries

Romania's Government on Wednesday approved the welfare bill, which aims to provide social aid only to people who really need it, as well as encourage beneficiaries to work, said Prime Minister Emil Boc.

Boc added that the bill emphasizes "individual responsibility" and the state's "complementary" role in supporting people in need of assistance.

The Government has requested the approval of the High Council of Magistrates.
