Romanian Ind MEP Candidate Elena Basescu Says She Voted For Herself

Romanian independent MEP candidate Elena Basescu, the president’s youngest daughter, said Sunday morning after she cast her ballot in the elections for the European Parliament, that she voted for herself.

"I voted for myself," she said.

She also said she has nothing to add apart from the president’s call on Romanians to express their vote.

"I call on Romanians to come vote,” President Traian Basescu said, adding Romanians should vote to show their attachment to the European Union.
