Romanian Liberals Back Norica Nicolai For Justice Minister

Liberal vice-president Crin Antonescu announced Thursday after the Liberal Party (PNL) meeting that senator Norica Nicolai, was proposed to fill the position of justice minister.

Liberals voted 28 to one in favor of the proposal made by Prime Minister Calin Tariceanu.

"For the successor of Tudor Chiuariu, things are pretty simple. The prime minister proposed Norica Nicolai for the position and the proposal was approved with 28 votes out of 29," Antonescu said.

The justice minister position remained vacant after the resignation of Chiuariu last week.
