Romanian Lottery Sentenced To Pay Football Federation EUR5M From Gambling Gains

Romania’s High Court of Justice passed a final ruling obliging the Romanian Lottery to pay EUR5 million from its gambling gains to the Romanian Football Federation.

The court ruled in favor of the Football Federation, which sued the lottery two years ago because it was entitled, under the law, to receive 20% of the lottery’s gains from football gambling games.

The court’s decision is final and binding.
