Romanian Opposition Files Simple Motion In Senate Targeting Interior Minister

Romania’s opposition Social Liberal Union submitted a simple motion in the Senate Tuesday targeting interior minister Traian Igas.

Liberal senator Puiu Hasotti said 55 opposition senators have signed the motion, which has been forwarded to the Senate's standing office.

Senate chairman Vasile Blaga said the motion is to be debated and put to the vote next week. The motion needs 69 votes in favor to be carried.
