Boc added that this rule aims to prevent European funds from being lost if a program exceeds the deadline for its implementation. Once a contract has been terminated, its funds are redirected to another program.

This solution, which was discussed in the latest meeting of the inter-ministry committee on EU funds, will be introduced through a Government Decision, said the prime minister.
