Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc on Sunday said the Government’s recent unpopular measures will have positive effects in the next two years.

Boc, who held a videoconference with the county prefects Sunday, said the Government would look very good in polls if it took "only soft measures," which, he stressed, would only hurt the country's economic and social status.
Boc went on to say that the results of the presidential elections in 2012, not the hierarchies in the current polls, are truly important.
