Romanian PM Stands By Justice Min Proposition

Romanian Prime Minister Calin Tariceanu is determined to stand by his nomination of liberal senator Norica Nicolai for justice minister even after the discussion he had with President Basescu on the matter, people close to the matter told MEDIAFAX.

The presidency spokesperson Valeriu Turcan told MEDIAFAX Saturday that the president and prime minister decided not to talk to the media after their meeting this afternoon.

The two are expected to make statements about the matter starting Sunday, official sources told MEDIAFAX.
