Romanian President Basescu To Meet Moldovan PM Filat Thursday – Sources

Romanian President Traian Basescu will meet Thursday with Moldovan Prime Minister in Iasi, northeastern Romania, said sources in the Chisinau Government, cited by newspaper Jurnal de Chisinau in its online edition on Wednesday.

They also said Basescu and Filat will hold talks on the financial aid Romania will grant to floods victims in the Republic of Moldova.

Moldova has been severely hit by floods this summer and Basescu said Romania provide construction materials to Moldova, based on EUR100 million non-reimbursable financial aid announced early January.
