Romanian President Calls Meeting With Leaders Of Parliament Parties

Leaders of political parties in the Romanian Parliament were summoned by the head of state for a meeting at the presidential palace at noon, following Theodor Stolojan’s decision to quit the prime minister office, democrat liberal sources said.

Democrat liberal leader Emil Boc said the decision to designate a new prime minister will be made following consultations with President Traian Basescu.

Asked whether he was proposed the prime minster office, Boc declined to reply.
