Romanian tennis player Sorana Carstea defeated Indian player Sania Mirza 6-4, 6-4, on Wednesday in a game lasting 85 minutes, as part of the second round of the Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament.

In the next tour, Carstea will face the winner of the match between Romanian Raluca Olaru and Victoria Azarenka from Belarus.

Carstea will receive a GBP29,250 prize for qualifying in the third round at Wimbledon.
