Romanian Swine Flu Cases Climb To 51

Romanian authorities on Friday confirmed another infection with the A/H1N1 virus, which raises the number of swine flu cases to 51.

The patient is a 43 year-old Spanish citizen who arrived in Romania on July 2. After a week, the man came to “Matei Bals” Institute in Bucharest with symptoms specific to the flu. He remained hospitalized after the laboratory of the Cantacuzino Institute confirmed the infection.

So far Romania has reported 51 infections with the new A/H1N1 flu virus, while 14 patients are hospitalized.
