Two Drowned In Romanian Black Sea Resort Monday Night

Two young men died and a girl was committed to hospital in Mangalia, southeastern Romania, after they went for a swim in the Black Sea Monday night and ended up too far from the shore.

Andrei Mihalache, 24, Remus Apavaloaie, 23, and Tatiana Pana, 27, all from Iasi, eastern Romania, went for a swim in the sea Monday night and drifted dangerously away from the shore, said local chief police inspector Radu Croitoru.

The three screamed for help and a lifeguard managed to pull out the woman and one of the men, as the third was no where to be found. The man died of cardiac arrest in the ambulance.

Lifeguards managed to find the body of the other man Tuesday morning.
