CEZ reported an EBITDA of RON466.25 million in Romania in 2016, up 8% on the year.
In 2016, wind turbines in Fantanele had a total output of 675 GWh. CEZ is the largest private wind energy producer in Romania. Its wind park obtained 583,037 green certificates last year through the renewable energy support scheme.
CEZ’s Cogealac wind park had an output of 484 GWh and obtained 409,603 green certificates.
Hydropower plants operated by CEZ had an output of 77 GWh, 37 GWh more than in 2015, due to upgrades in the production process and favorable weather conditons.
CEZ has been operating on the Romanian market since 2005, when it bought electricity distributor. CEZ Group has eight companies in Romania: Distributie Oltenia, CEZ Romania, CEZ Vanzare, CEZ Trade, Tomis Team, MW Invest, Ovidiu Development, and TMK Hydroenergy Power.
