Yahoo! Launches Romanian Homepage

American corporation Yahoo! launched a homepage in Romanian allowing users to create an email address using the .ro domain name.

Mid-November last year, Yahoo! said the Romanian homepage would be launched in the first half of March 2011 to include email and instant messenger services in Romanian.

The portal is available at ro.yahoo.com.

At the end of 2010, Yahoo services were used in Romania by 8.2 million people (or about 80% of the people who had access to the internet), according to Marvin Liao, Yahoo EMEA Commercial Director.
