Around 131,000 Romanian Cos To Be Declared Inactive - Tax Watchdog

Of the total 672,000 Romanian companies, around 131,000 will be declared inactive as they did not observe their obligations to the state by not declaring their incomes, Monday said Sorin Blejnar, the head of the National Tax Administration Agency ANAF.

Blejnar said the measure would be applied to companies that do not operate at their declared headquarters, that did not file their tax statements for over six months, and that do not pay their taxes and fees.

ANAF official said the measure is stipulated in a Government Ordinance and will be published in the Official Journal in the following days.
