Snow and blizzards caused power outages on Wednesday afternoon in 69 localities in Romania’s eastern counties of Braila and Galati, state-owned power grid Electrica SA said in a statement.

Electrica SA said the power distribution infrastructure of Muntenia Nord branch was seriously damaged. Thus, 59 localities in the county of Galati, and 10 in the county of Braila reported power outages.
Electrica sent 30 intervention teams in the territory for repairs.
