Coronavirus in Romania. Infections are rising again: 3.174 new cases and 77 deaths

A number of 3.174 new cases of coronavirus have been reported on Wednesday in Romania and 77 Romanians died due to SARS-CoV-2. In intensive care units, the threshold of 1.000 patients is exceeded again.

To date, on 27 January, in Romania, 718.612 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID - 19) have been confirmed. 662.400 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 3.174 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 1.003 people were reconfirmed as positive.

To date, 18.015 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 26.01.2021 and 27.01.2021, have been reported 77 deaths (46 men and 31 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeş, Bacău, Bihor, Braşov, Buzău, Călăraşi, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Dolj, Galaţi, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomiţa, Iaşi, Maramureş, Mureş, Olt, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiş, Vaslui, Vâlcea and Bucharest.
