Leroy Merlin Temporarily Closes All Romanian Stores Starting Monday

French-held DIY retailer Leroy Merlin is temporarily closing all its stores in Romania starting Monday amid measures to curb the spread of coronavirus infections.

Romania is under a 30-day state of emergency as of March 16 and most recent measures imposed by the government entail the closing of non-essential retail spaces.

Leroy Merlin has 17 stores in Romania. Its sales grew 10% on the year in 2019.
