The Romanian President stated in the challenge that the bill is unclear and open to interpretation, in the form that was approved by the Parliament.
He also accused several unconstitutional aspects in procedures regarding the chairman and deputy of the council which monitored the implementation of the convention into Romanian law.
Romania was one of the 162 UN members which signed the convention in 2007.
