Romania: 2.738 cases of COVID-19 / 278 newly confirmed cases. 94 people died
By Thursday, in Romania, 2.738 people have been confirmed with coronavirus, 278 new cases have been registered and 94 people have lost their lives due to complications caused by COVID-19, announces the Strategic Communication Group (GCS).

"Of the positively confirmed persons, 267 were declared healed and discharged from hospital units: 91 in Bucharest, 58 in Timiş, 28 in Iaşi, 23 in Caraş-Severin, 20 in Prahova, 13 in Constanţa, 8 in Dolj, 8 in Cluj, 5 in Braşov, 5 in Galaţi, 2 in Bihor, 2 Argeş, 1 in Brăila, 1 in Mureş, 1 in Neamţ, 1 in Alba", according to the quoted source.
A further 278 new cases of illness were registered from Wednesday to Thursday.
At intensive care units (ATI), at this moment, there are 78 patients.
"On the territory of Romania, there are 15.407 persons in institutionalized quarantine. Another 114.699 people are in isolation at home and are under medical supervision", the source added.
According to GCS, to date, 28.483 tests have been processed at national level.
In the last 24 hours, 847 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 3.930 to the TELVERDE call line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.
By April 1 2020, 421.808 cases were reported in the EU / EEA and in United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases were registered in Italy, France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
