Romania Gets Yellow Code Warning For Snow, Blizzards Over Weekend

The Romanian Environment Ministry sent a yellow code warning to 26 counties in central, northern and northwestern Romania, forecasting snow and blizzards over the weekend.

The warning was sent to prefectures of counties Alba, Arad, Arges, Bacau, Bihor, Bistrita-Nasaud, Brasov, Buzau, Cluj, Covasna, Dambovita, Caras-Severin, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Maramures, Mehedinti, Mures, Neamt, Prahova, Salaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Valcea, Vrancea and Timis.

The national meteorological authority said snow is expected as of Friday afternoon until Sunday, especially in mountain areas.
