Romania have outranked Eastern European rivals Georgia in the latest IRB (International Rugby Board) global classification after their 23-8 win over Portugal in the European Nations Cup last weekend, www.irb.com reported.

The win takes the Romanians to 15 in the world, ahead of Georgia in 16th place.

World champions South Africa top the IRB ranking, followed by New Zeeland and Argentina.
