Romania President Says 25% Of Presidential Office Staff Will Be Sacked

Romanian President Traian Basescu told a press conference Thursday that 25% of employees with the presidential administration will be sacked, in the wake of recent measures to cut expenditures at the level of public institutions.

When asked to say how many employees in the public sector will be further sacked based on recent measures to cut public spending, Basescu said he will have accurate data in this respect next Wednesday, following talks with Government members.
