Romanian Cars Older Than 10 Yrs To Be Included In “Rabla” Program

Romanian cars older than 10 years will also be included next year in car park renewal program "Rabla." So far the program only included cars older than 12 years.

The program will start on January 1, 2009 with a total number 60,000 spots, compared to the 40,000 spots allocated this year.

The cassation bonus was increased to 3,800 lei (EUR1 = RON3.9372) per unit, compared to RON3,000 in 2008.

Thus, the total funds allocated for the “Rabla” program will reach RON228 million, according to the Government Ordinance resuming the program, published in the Official Gazette.
