Romanian-French Businessman Sentenced To 3 Yrs In Prison On Embezzlement Charges
A Paris court on Wednesday sentenced Romanian-French businessman Adrian Costea, accused of money laundering, to three years in prison and ordered him to pay a fine worth EUR150,000, the Romanian public news radio station reported.

Costea, whose trial began in June 2006 in France, is accused of embezzling Romanian public funds on behalf of Romanian high-ranking politicians and then depositing the funds in a French group of companies.
Costea’s wife, Valentina, was also sentenced to two years suspended prison term and she was ordered to pay a fine of EUR150,000.
