Romanian Leu Stronger Vs Euro In Early Trade

The Romanian leu opened stronger against the euro Monday, following the trend of currencies on emerging markets, as the U.S dollar weakened on the backdrop of disappointing U.S. jobs data.

The leu opened at RON4.1520/RON4.1550 against the euro, up from Friday's closing value.

Then, at around GMT0815, the leu was trading at RON4.1425/RON4.1450 against the euro.

The leu ended at RON4.1610/RON4.1620 against the euro Friday, up from RON4.1670/RON4.1690 to the euro on Thursday's closing.

The central bank computed Friday a daily indicative at RON4.1679 against the euro, and RON2.9143 against the US dollar.
