Romanian opposition liberal and social democrat leaders Crin Antonescu and Victor Ponta, respectively, on Monday agreed on the need to submit a no-confidence motion against the country’s ruling power.

They said the motion would be submitted within two weeks at the latest.
Antonescu stressed it is more than necessary to file a no-confidence targeting a wide range of economic and social problems, adding that the prime minister and his Cabinet tend to politicize public institutions in Romania.
He pointed out the no-confidence motion will bring out the sheer failure of the country's government.
Asked to say if the opposition parties will be able to form the parliamentary majority needed to adopt the motion, Antonescu stressed a no-confidence motion targets to bring out and put up for public debate issues of public interest.
Antonescu and Ponta met Monday afternoon at the latter's proposition.
