Romania’s Prime Minister Emil Boc signed the decision assigning democrat liberal Aurel Popa president of the privatization authority (AVAS), people close to the matter told MEDIAFAX Thursday.

The sources said democrat liberal Daniel Florea, former president of the Court of Arbitration for Football was assigned vice president of AVAS.
Last week, Boc dismissed AVAS president Mircea Ursache and vice presidents Andi Petrisor Gaiu, Ion Minzina and Bogdan Cristian Georgescu, and appointed democrat liberal Mircea Ioan Pavelescu as interim president of the authority.
