Romanian Railway Co CFR Calatori To Invest RON536M In Wagon Purchase, Upgrade

Romanian railway company CFR Calatori plans to invest some 536 million lei (EUR1=RON3.7104) to buy 90 new railway carriages and to also modernize another 113, the company’s representatives said Friday.

In this respect, the company will organize two bids through the Romanian Commodities Exchange. The contract for the cars acquisition is worth RON223.72 million while the modernization of the 113 wagons will require RON313 million funds.

Interested investor can submit offers by May 27.
