The High Court admitted the prosecution's appeal against a lower court ruling to have Petcu investigated at large.
Petcu, leader of the CNSLR-Fratia labor union confederation, was detained last Thursday night by Anticorruption Department prosecutors, after he was caught taking a EUR40,000 bribe from a businessman.
