The court's decision is definitive.
Petcu will be tried at large by the Bucharest Court.
The union leader was detained late March by Anticorruption Department prosecutors, after he was caught taking a EUR40,000 bribe from a businessman. The High Court of Justice decided to have Petcu placed under preventive arrest for 29 days.
On April 21, prosecutors indicted Petcu for corruption.
